Well well, the church screen a show Hotel Rwanda today. It's a real account of a battle between the Hutu and the Tutsi. I couldn't believe that it happened in 1994 because Man had already reach to quitea a civilised status at the time, and how could such still happen in the 1990s.
The part the knock sense into me was that, when the reporter apologised to Paul, and he said the people will not do anything because when they see the video on the news. (The video is a footage of the Tutsis being hacked or something like that by the Hutu's) They would just go "Oh my God, that's so horrible" and continue eating their dinner. I got to admit, I think I fall into that category. I started to think, maybe I could do something, so what is it? I'm too small to do something big? The smallest of the smallest thing would help, Prayer is one of the most important one.
The part the hurt me the most, was when Paul was in the bar with the General, and the General said, the intervetion troops will have to withdraw from Rwanda because it doesn't worth them even a vote and the part that hurt most was, "Because you are an African, and you're not even a nigger" Imagine someone said that to your face. How would you feel?
The part the disgust me was, when the troops are leaving, they evacuated the foregins into the bus so that they could be safe, refusing to grant any Tutsis an escape route from the Hutu army. Mind you, i saw a dog in the bus, and the first thing that portrait to me was that, thye are politically treated worst the animals.
The part that will always leave be on my mind, was that Paul was in a van back to the hotel, and when they couldn't see the road properly because of the heavy fog, and the van started to shook violently, imagine driving a car across hundreds of humps. And instead, of humps, those were the bodies of the dead Tutsis, like Paul, I would have definatly freak out and i think i will drop dead from shock straightaway.
One thing to tell you about the show, Buy it, it will worth every single cents and tear.
